Disabling (or 86’ing) an item removes it from your menu on the Caviar website temporarily and diners will not be able to order it. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and navigate to the Disable Items or Options Menu. From here, you can 86 any menu item as well as view all currently 86’d items.
Did a diner order an item that is sold out or unavailable? Before accepting the order, tap the Resolve Unavailable Items button. Here, you will see a list of each item the diner ordered, along with their request for each item if it is unavailable.
Diners will have to choose either one of these:
- Remove the item from the order
- Substitute the item with the restaurant’s recommendation
- Cancel the entire order
Select the item that cannot be made to inform Caviar Support of the change; we’ll handle communications with the diner.
